The Oprah Winfrey Shows has been broadcasted for 25 amazing years. After the long journey of the program, Ms Winfrey announced that she will leave the show on September, 2011. She announced it to the viewers with holding back her tears. She said that her purpose of leaving is to focus more on the new channel that she has been working for a long time to launch. The new channel is called OWN – Oprah Winfrey Network and it will focus on women’s issues.
Ms Winfrey in the age of 55 years old has been hosted her programme for a very long time that she decided to quit on 2011. Ms Winfrey said that the number 25 was the perfect number and the right time to end this The Oprah Winfrey Shows.
Many people will feel sad about this decision since The Oprah Winfrey Shows as been a favorite show for many viewers around the world. Many humanity issues are discussed and revealed to this show. The viewers afraid that there is no high quality and useful programme like The Oprah Winfrey Shows anymore. However, Ms Winfrey has taken the decision and hope that she can still continue to bring eye opening stories to the world with her new channel.
