Some fans are disappointed because of the reschedule of Lady Gaga’s concert for January 26th in Purdue University. The school management states that the reschedule is because of Lady Gaga suffered an illness and she was recommended to not do any perform.
What the shame is the cancelation is stated to the fans in Thursday night right after some opening performances by Jason Derulo and Semi Precious Weapons are already performed and what makes everything worse is, the next day in Friday, Lady Gaga does her medley performance in The Oprah Winfrey Show without any indications that she had suffered a certain illness a day before. In this show she was really in her best performance, with a cool black outfits and some surprise stage performance which is her typical, and included a ball on a chain and a taxi on stage.
This situation make shows something that is a bit incoherent situation when a day before she was cancelled her concert and the next day she performed in Live Show. However, because of the concert is not really cancelled and is just delayed, most fans haven’t lost their hope to see this multi-talented pop singer in her action next Tuesday. This time, you just can hope that she’s just going to fine so there is a concert to enjoy.

I was at the Purdue concert with a VIP pass. She had been in town for some hours before the concert, driving overnight from Detroit. The Purdue concert would have been her 7th in 8 nights in 4 cities, not counting her day at the CES show in Vegas. On the day of the CES, she performed in St. Louis when the city had been hit by a snow storm, severe enough that the nutcase Rev. Phelps clan called off their protest of Gaga due to the show. She flew in from Las Vegas and did the show. While she was in West Lafayette, Indiana on the 26th, she worked out (with my friend’s trainer) and around 4:30 we all heard a woman doing the sound check of the mic (since she was the only woman who would use the mic, their use of a female (not sure it was Gaga) indicated their intent that she would perform. They had the full caravan of 18 wheelers and buses – about 18 vehicles. The elaborate stage was all set up, they gave the VIP’s a great buffet feast, and the opening acts performed. Then, the Purdue official came out and said that EMT’s were attending to her. They also announced the make up date of the 26th. I was surprised they didn’t just cancel, since it’s crazy expensive to come all the way back after the official US tour finale in NYC on the 24th. Yet, the show is on. It’s even more expensive than I thought, because they cancelled the VIP packages, giving full refunds of the difference in price between the VIP package and the regular ticket price. So, I’m getting a second row seat for less than $40. Not bad. As for the Oprah appearance, I was glad to see she was up to it. It’s a short drive from West Lafayette to Chicago – 2 hours in her comfy bus. I thought she looked tired. It was a short bit – a 5 minute medley during which she couldn’t break the taxi cab window with her mace, and she got teary during the 10 minute interview. They also had a pre-recorded segment. There is no way she went to the trouble and expense to dine the VIP’s, start the Purdue show, and then stop it only to come back 12 days later (when she had no other tour dates in the Midwest) while giving back ten’s of thousands of dollars in VIP packages. The facts show that she was sick during the Purdue show but that she cowgirl’ed up to do a 15 minute bit in nearby Chicago on Oprah the next day. There is no comparison between doing a 2 hour concert and the little bit on Oprah. Plus, she went on to cancel or postpone 3 other shows before her NYC run at Radio City Music Hall.
