Jacob Wetterling the missing boy, is still being searched. Today the search was taken place in an area of St. Joseph. Jacob Wetterling himself was missing on October 22, 1989 in a section of Stearns County. A County judge said yesterday that there would be a search warrant for some properties which were not far from where he was missing in 1989. Bruce Bechtold, the Chief Deputy of Stearns Country Sheriff’s Department, mentioned that he could not confirm any further details other than the investigation by court order which was underway at the property and it would continue though Thursday at the most.
FBI even confirmed their involvement in the search and they informed some local news that they would keep supporting the search warrant effort until Thursday. In addition, The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children also assed some resources to the area.
Jerry Wetterling, Jacob Wetterling’s father, said that there are about 30,000 leads in that case, and some even result in long investigations. He added that he often did not know how much the search details were. He mentioned that he would never let his family get too low or too high as each of the searches commences.
